I am currently a third grade teacher at Westwood Elementary in Oklahoma City. The family that I have developed there has been amazing! Daily I get to see children light up when they have accomplished something new and that makes my heart grow leaps and bounds. I want all children to have the opportunity to have an education and feel the love of our Savior.
Throughout my life I have been blessed to feel the presence and love of Jesus, but there were many times I chose to ignore it. During these times God always seemed to place people in my life to direct me toward a better path. About three years ago a friend invited me to Frontline Church and that is where my life truly started to change. This is not to say that is was all smiles and laughs. In order for me to have a joy filled life Jesus wanted to work some things out in my heart and this was not done without pain and tears. I am so grateful that those times have transformed me and made me see more truth in our world. I know that there are more times like those to come throughout my life, but I my prayer is that I can embrace them as they come and continue to be transformed by Jesus.
A few weeks ago I was is the car driving and I just started laughing so hard I was crying and that was the moment I realized I not only love Jesus but I am madly in love with Him. This is one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I am so excited to see what God has in store for my life and I am now am able to wait with open an open heart. I want to see the beauty, charm, and adventure of my Savior.
"I have loved you with everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness."
Jeremiah 31:3
