I am the kind of person that aims to please and if I ask my self why? I don’t know if I have the answer, till I think about the question.
Maybe its my Joy and my peace… serving and helping is loving…. right?
Giving costs, and it pays… just in a different currency….
I believe that my heart to please is founded in love;
not to be accepted, or to manipulate, or to keep score and in debt others, however I feel like those are temptations.
At times I have been tempted to consider myself deserving of a “return on investment” at some juncture in a relationship and consequently find myself hurt and believing lies.
I don’t know if we really are deserving of anything.
Never the less
aim
to Please.
I love the idea of hitting something bang on…
A direct statement
comment or
just the right thing for the job.
Often Jesus hit the target by asking great questions.
A question to answer a question… Genius!
Questions have a sneaky way of making you think about something for the sake of answering some one else yet they end up teaching you often more about the subject then you previously knew yourself before pondering it.
Wondering about things is a great learning tool… I get sucked into all kinds of topics of interest with people and seem to always glean some new found wisdom.
Questions lead to answers.
Search and you will find.
However,
if you are contented enough you will might fall into apathy…
and never care enough to really search out answers to the questions that you have.
Great teachers don’t just tell you the answers,
often they will prod you to contemplate and come up with solutions.
So
What Motivates You?
Why do you chose to do what you do?
I ask these questions to a lot of people.
If you think about motive it often explains puzzling mysteries.
Often I’ll question someone not just for me,
but to give them a chance to search out their own heart.
Common Motives
Love
Hate
Pain
Pleasure
Hunger
Desperation
Fear
 Need
 Envy
Joy
Dream/Vision
Dreams often give us better a perspective of our hearts as well…. I think it’s always important to look at the heart, that’s where God looks.
Getting a fresh perspective can change everything.
Having new experiences
offers us a greater understanding to our questions.
&
Enjoying the quest is gaining the victory!
Amen
In the End everything is a gift anyway isn’t it.
So…
There it is, another little piece of my heart… I hope your pleased. : )
