Feeling the Love

Jan 8, 2007

It has been raining hard since yesterday afternoon, and I keep thinking man, my mom was right I should have brought a rain jacket.
  I love you Mommy!

I have been surprised by a lot of things on this trip.
I didn’t think I would get sun burnt on the first day of the year.
I didn’t think I would get travelers diarrhea after the first week.

 I didn’t expect

Mexico to be as beautiful as it is or to feel as much love as I have felt from everyone.
I love that I really don’t know what God has in store for me each day and it’s so cool that we get to discover His mysteries.

I think that God is showing most of us that what we thought or how we perceived things was inaccurate and that we really have to let go, get ourselves out of the way and let Him do what He will do through us. I have been able to enjoy everyday of this trip and I really didn’t mind the diarrhea since I got prayed for so much to get healed.
I realized how much God loved me through all the people praying for me and I was thankful to God for each one.

I even enjoyed the over 40 hrs of traveling from

Matamoros to

Palenque on several buses. We survived on a few tacos and some tuna sandwiches. We were the last team to leave and we ended up all standing together at the park entrance waiting for it to open two days later…go figure.
  Training is going great!
Thanks for your prayers and thanks for reading. God bless.
