I just want to take a moment to introduce you to my team, the six other girls that I will be in ministry with, at least for the start of the World Race. There’s my big squad of 60 people, and we all generally travel from country to country together. Within each country our teams (generally 5-8 people) are assigned various ministry sites and housing locations. This first month in Guatemala our entire squad is staying together! We are partnering with Agape in Action and “tenting” outside of their facilities. During the day we break off into our individual teams and travel to ministry sites scattered throughout a two hour radius, but we all get to come back together and share stories every evening! It has been such a blessing to have the whole squad together, we’ve been able to begin and end each day with group worship, share our testimonies and get to know each other better, and eat breakfast and dinner as a squad! So without further ado…
I would like to introduce Team Hephzibah. Hephzibah, from Isaiah 62:4, means my delight is in her, and trust me, the Lord delights in these six wonderful ladies! We are each very unique, but mesh together perfectly to push each other closer to the Lord. I really think we are the youngest team in World Race history, with the oldest being 23, and people are always shocked to hear this, which I think says a lot about our character and maturity. There are qualities in each of them that I hope to grow in, and I couldn’t ask for a better team! These women have come along side me, loved me as I am, and have committed to fight with me to experience the full joy and glory of God.
