So I’ve realized that no matter how hard you sit and think about blogging, it doesn’t do itself. I had the perfect blog in my head a few days ago. I mean it was probably the most impressive piece of literature since the fantastic writtings of Shakespear.. Coming to the computer today.. It was nowhere to be found! It hadn’t been posted!! Go figures. When technology is capable of reading my thoughts I’ll be a happy man.. hmm.. well.. Actually, lets stick to good ol do it youself technology.

🙂

Last Sunday I met this fella:

He’s a normal looking chap that could possibly resemble a scrawny Clint Eastwood. He seemed to be drunk as he stumbled into a conversation between me and two El Salvadorian students outside of a little church. The two students were a little offended by his behavior. I just smiled.

Looking past him, I noticed Oscar (Our Host)

Was recieving prayed by a group of Canadian Missionaries visiting the church, so I rushed over to be apart of blessing him.  The drunk fella followed behind.

To my suprires as I turned, the drunk fella stood behind eagerly waiting for me to give him something. He stood swaying ever so slightly with his glazed over eyes fighting to concentrate and his hand out to recieve a gift.. Staring into his eyes, I smiled once again.

I turned to the translator in the group behind me to be reminded of a phrase, then turned back to him. “Can I pray for you?”

Such a simple phase, the group or words are quite elementary, and its sad to know that these words arn’t used nearly enough.

This particuar phrase brought on an evening that I will hopefully remember for years to come.

I know, Pino will.
