la·cham. [law-kham'] to make war.
Satan has tried to do anything he can to bring my squad down, anything to keep me from finishing the race.
He has fed my doubts–lies that our team was not unified, lies that Jesus no longer heals, and lies that God will not provide.
But God has turned these outright ridiculous claims into truths that glorify Him.
Our team IS extremely unified. The beginning of training camp gave Satan a foothold to feed my fears but no more. I have seen our squad acting as one body as the Acts Church, making sure everyone has what they need, spiritually and physically. Amazing community.
Jesus does heal. I came back from training camp with a spider bite that grew from a dot to a large portion of my leg in a day. As I was told later by a nurse friend, she thought my skin was soon going to "rot." Everyone in my squad prayed for healing as I decided what to do, and the next day I woke up with just the small bite. No medicine or doctors, just Jesus.
My mom had to visit the ER this week, but she is recooperating. Through the faithful prayer of my team, God healed and is continuing to heal her.
God provides more than we see. I think sometimes we attribute things to coincidence when in reality, it was God giving us what we need. He knows what we need before we ask it.
So don't grow disheartened when Satan feeds these lies because he will. He detests our life for God. But if he attacks, it's because we are doing something right.
Remember that Jesus fights on our behalf. Let's not buy into the lies, doubts, and fears anymore. We are His army. Let's declare war on Satan because our squad IS going around the world to spread the name of Jesus, and God will make it happen.
