As a kid, I loved A Little Princess.  One thing that made me love it was the message that we are all princesses.  Well guess what daughters of the Most High King, we are.

Every little girl watches Disney and longs to be that princess that a prince falls in love with.
Well guess what else:  the Greatest Prince of all time has fallen in love with you so much that He died to save you.
That makes us the most important princesses of all time.
As daughters of the King, He promises to protect us and be everything we could ever desire.
What could be a better love story?

As princesses, the King wants us to know that we are beautiful.
Not hot, not sexy, not even pretty, but B-E-A-UTIFUL.
The kind of beauty that radiates from the inside out.
You know that one girl that you see who loves God and her smile just lights up a room?
THAT beauty.  The one that people see and say, “WOW. She belongs to the King.”

The King wants you to hear this:  you are beautiful.
Don’t believe Satan’s lies that tell you you’re fat, ugly, too tall, too short, unloved, or anything less than what God has designed you to be.
See, I spend lots of time pouring my life into teenage girls, and I have seen the hurt these lies cause.
But guess what?
The King handcrafted you Himself.
That means He created you in His image, and He is the definition of beauty.
He doesn’t make mistakes, meaning you are not a mistake.
He didn’t accidentally make your nose too big or give you too many freckles.  He didn’t make you stand out from “the norm” to torture you.  He made you individually beautiful just the way you are.  When the world says you're not pretty enough, the King says you're stunning.

Aspire to be the woman that the King longs for you to be:
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.  She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.  [. . . ]  Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”  Proverbs 31: 25-26, 30
He and only He can make you feel needed, desired, wanted, and above all, head-over-heels beautiful.
