When I get discouraged or let the enemy's lies feed my soul, I forget one thing:
Satan has already lost.
And believe me, he knows it and he's furious.
That's why he wants to take everyone down with him. He has never-ending torment. If he could just die, his pain will be over, but God does not allow that to remind Satan of his decision to turn from God.
And even though he can't win the hearts of the saved, distracting us from God's plan is his priority.
In the Garden with Eve, he questioned God's plan. Thousands of years later, he's still using the same tactic to trick God's people. I know that God has a design for the race and the future, and for me to doubt that is to concede to Satan. For me to doubt is to give in to the same lies that Satan fed our mother Eve.
God has a plan for me and for every person.
His plan is so perfectly put together that I could never compete, nor should I try to.
And I've realized something else.
Everytime Satan tries to work in my life, God retaliates.
He doesn't leave His children without protection.
He rescues us from danger when we call His Name, just as Jesus reached to save drowning Peter.
Jesus asks why he doubted, knowing the deeper meaning behind it.
When we take our eyes off Jesus, we drown.
