Our month in Malaysia was spent working at an after school program for Chinese-Malaysian and Indian-Malaysian children. Here are some photos to recap the month:
The kids came to the center from 9am-5pm for help with English and academics and instruction in social skills and discipline.
We also helped run a camp that taught them independence and life skills.
A large part of our month was spent helping them prepare for their annual Christmas program.
Our team was blessed to explore Kuala Lumpur, the Batu Caves in KL, and camp on the beach on Penang Island.
We were also blessed with time together for Christmas where we had Secret Santa and cooked a great Christmas meal.
Overall, it was a great month in which we grew closer to each other and loved on children in a nation that has made it illegal to speak about Jesus to certain groups. As we leave the country behind, we ask that you’ll join with us in praying that God will continue His work in that nation and that His love will continue to be felt by all.
