This is where we slept (most) nights. 🙂
I honestly wasn’t going to write a blog because I didn’t know what to say. So here goes some thoughts that probably won’t make any sense.
August 10th, I flew to Atlanta, Georgia with a million expectations. 51 people who were once only on a GroupMe became my sisters.
The Lord broke and released me from chains that I didn’t even know were holding me back. Chains of shame and the feeling of being unworthy of being loved by such a King. I finally started believing that He pursues me when I feel like I need to run the other way. I started trusting that I am fully known and fully loved. Every part of me is known by my Savior and He fully loves me because He created me.
In the midst of exhaustion, sweat, and pain I experienced freedom unlike anything else. I believe I am all He says I am.
Loved. Free. Redeemed. Worthy. Beautiful. Victorious. Known. Forgiven. Chosen.
Honestly, training Camp was hard. There were many moments when I just wanted to go home. I was pushed physically, emotionally, and spiritually in ways I didn’t think I could get through. And I couldn’t. But that’s where His power comes in. I am so thankful that my God is a God of mercy and grace and through His strength alone was I able to push it through those 10 days. I had no control over what was happening. He was the only thing that was constant through it all.
I am thankful for my time at training camp. I am thankful for those 51 women who inspired, loved, and encouraged me. I am thankful for the Adventures in Missions staff and the way they live out a Gospel-centered life. I am thankful that God is good, constant, and loving though I am undeserved. I am thankful.
I am fully known & fully loved.
Other exciting news:

We will be spending month 1 in Cambodia!! I am so excited that the ladies I love so much get to experience the country and people that I have fallen in love with over and over again. I am confident that God is going to break our hearts for what breaks His and it will be beautiful because it was done in a way that only He can do.
