I came across this quote a couple weeks ago and it has really been tugging on my heart ever since:
“If you’re afraid of fundraising, where does your confidence lie? In the hands and wallets of the people around you, or in the One who is sending you?”
My mind has been consumed with fundraising ideas and stresses about where this $13,805+ will come from. Instead of resting in knowing that He will provide, I have been focused on through who and how He will do it. So, where does my confidence lie?
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
He has so perfectly laid this plan out for life and I know that I, and so many others, will be incredibly blessed by this opportunity.
I can feel my purpose in every ounce of my body, and I can feel Him working in me and giving me strength and confidence like never before.
“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Exodus 9:16
He has shown me my purpose— to share His love and the Good News among every nation. My heart aches for others to know the love and grace that He so freely gives. I am on a mission to make Him known and I will not stop until the whole world hears. His mighty power will be on display among His people and lives will be changed forever because of it.
So, I will choose to lay my confidence in His hands. I am confident that He will provide in ways that only He can do and His power will be revealed through it. I am amazed by the way He works and continues to move in my life and the lives of those around me. God is so good, y’all.
