Dating on The World Race.

looks like this… and then, do to the time zones looks like this!
Dating on the world race is a lot harder than I anticipated. Things move so fast during ministry, and then a free day comes and it hits you like a train with home sickness. It’s for sure been a learning process.
I’m currently half way through month 4, the first 3 months were in Europe, so communication was easy to come by. With that came feed back. Oh yes, and you think feed back is hard in person…try over Skype.! Honesty those times can bring a lot of healing, understanding and love. Communication is super important! This month we have limited internet, so communication has been mainly through prayer.
Honestly you just have to give it to God. Our first month, we were together as a squad having a worship session and I asked God how I was still going to feel connected to Britt these 11 months. And what our relationship would look like. God’s response was “You’ll feel close to him as you draw close to me.” We have such an awesome creator! Drawing close to God has really put everything in perspective and has brought a lot of peace and growth, with God and Britt. From that point on its been so rewarding. And feels super right!
Your going to have fight for time with each other. Fight sleep and the locusts that are World racers that consume all the wifi! But hey the best things are worth fighting for!
Oh and another handy perk is when you get to India and they try and marry you off and want you to stay forever, just pull the boyfriend card and they leave you alone. I’m pretty sure my team mate Kevin’s been asked like 5 times now!
Well I’m sure I’ll be writing a part 2 eventually. It’s only month 4 right? Still have a race to run and more lessons to learn.
P.S. Miss you Britt, praying for you!
