Well… I can not say I was “called” into missions, though technically we are all called to missions! For me it’s just stepping out and doing something uncomfortable. I’ve been part of three short-term missions trips, two in Mexico and one in Central America. During each one of those trips God grew me and pushed me to share His love in ways my daily life does not.
The timing is right, currently I am at a point in my life where I don’t have a specific schooling/ career direction. I’m not tied down…so in my mind, its the perfect time to give a year of my life to Christ and let Him do with it what He pleases.
Oh…I forgot to mention that my one dream is to travel the world!! While researching different missions programs, World Race really jumped out at me because of the way it allows participants to see and meet so many different cultures by moving from country to country.
So to sum it up – my calling is simply being willing.
