What did I learn?
I learned that God is sufficient. He will take care of all the details. He is present in every situation. When I am feel like I am in over my head, He is there. We experienced a lot of chaos and confusion while in Malawi – concussions, hospital stays, strife within the team, and a plethora of illnesses. Every time I got a phone call or heard through the mesh of my tent, “Ummm…..Shannon……I’m _______ (fill in the blank with a) throwing up, b) having diarrhea, etc.).” I had no idea what to do. However, I learned to rely upon the Lord and seek His wisdom and His guidance in every conversation. I won’t say that I perfected the art of relying on Him, but He worked a huge change in my life. I want to continue to pursue Him and see how He continues to change me.
