Launch is less than 40 days away. Not too long ago we had the pleasure of going through 10 days of training camp in Georgia. In one word ….AMAZING. We camped, hiked, did team bonding, worshiped, and heard some great teachings. It was uplifting and freeing. We learned a lot about ourselves and our squad mates in such a short amount of time. They prepared us for all different scenarios that we may face while in different countries and traveling. We learned that we need to leave our comfort zones behind because when we do that, He will lead us down a road unlike any other.
My Squad is composed of 47 God loving individuals who are no longer pictures on a group chat. After 10 days of bucket showers, sharing food off of one plate, hammock parties, and lots of crazy moments they are now my family. We also had the opportunity to meet our squad leaders and mentors who are absolutely amazing. This wonderful group will be going through this journey together and it is without hesitation that no matter what we will be supporting each other emotionally, physically (cant go a year without working out, especially with all the carbs we will be eating), and spiritually. Unfortunately we wont be spending the whole year together as we are split up into teams and spreading out throughout the countries.
This is my team, Shekinah Glory, or God’s presence. The day we found out our teams we were told to go out and make some memories for the evening. It felt like we knew each other for the past 10 years instead of ten days. This team is going to do some great things this year!!!
Our first stop on this journey together will be in Lira, Uganda. A Town 5 hours north of Kampala. Once there, we will be doing door to door evangelism, church planting, school and children’s ministry and prison outreach. I am quite excited about the prison outreach!!!
Its an exceptional beginning to this adventure. I look forward to following the path that God has presented before us!
“Go everywhere in the world and tell the good news to Everyone.” – Mark 16:15
Please keep my squad and my team in your prayers. This will not be an easy journey but it will be well worth it. I am about 60% funded for my trip, I ask that you please help support me. Whether it be $5 or $500 it will help me tremendously and I will be forever grateful.
Love you guys!!
