“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”  John 14:12

Training camp was amazing on so many levels.  I had the opportunity to get to know the other 65 squad members, eat LOTS of interesting food, sleep out under the stars, endure the 95 degree Georgia heat, and minister in the surrounding areas of Atlanta, GA – BUT, throughout training there was one question that kept resurfacing…

During an evening message, the Director posed the question, “When was the last time you healed the sick, raised the dead, or seen sight restored to the blind?”  As you can imagine, the room stood dead silent.  A slight uneasiness surrounded the room followed by stares of anticipation for what was to come next.  “Jesus said, ‘whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do…'” he continued, “…so why are we not seeing miracles every day?”

This statement has been circling around in my mind for the last five weeks… while there are numerous reasons I could give- fear, doubt, not being willing to be used entirely by God, etc.- I am determined not to let anything stand in the way of believing God for miracles this year. 🙂  God tells us that He will do “exceedingly and abundantly more than all we ask or imagine,” (Eph 3:20) and right now I’m asking BIG things of Him for this next year and I am waiting in expectation to see Him surpass my requests.  Why don’t you do the same…?
