As much as I enjoyed my 4 years of  art school, it hasn’t been the most useful thing when it comes to planning my future. I didn’t have companies lining up to hire me for my painting skills after graduation and I don’t see myself quickly becoming a millionaire from any of my work. However, that hasn’t changed my love for creating, in fact, I’ve been hoping to use my talent for the past four months. In Chiang Rai God finally provided me with the opportunity. Tara and I  spent the majority of our week painting the requested scene of  “a forest, with lots of trees, ooh, and a waterfall, and some animals, some flowers, maybe a garden, oooh and did I mention a waterfall would be really nice” on the walls of one of the girl’s rooms. I think my time spent there tops my list of favorite ministries, especially after seeing the look on the girls faces as they crept quietly into the room and saw the final product.

And I’ll leave you with a little “mini” update. I will be heading out to Kanchanaburi accompanied by Ashley, Tara, and Marissa in the morning. We will be working with the Bang family on their farm and their various ministries. Please pray for safety as we travel and for a lack of spiders once we get there 🙂 Also, I won’t have internet access until I return to Bangkok. I hope to post a few more Thailand blogs before we fly out to Africa on the 26th, so keep a look out.
