Many of you received this in the mail looking something like this –>
However, after numerous attempts to post my April update letter as shown to the right, I realized it just wasn’t going to work. I apologize for the lack of fancy graphics and pictures, but it’s the text that counts anyway, eh?

Support Status God has been providing for my every need, from actual support funds, to tents, to money for vaccinations. I’m overwhelmed and so encouraged by the amazing generosity of my family and friends. It’s such a blessing to be able to say that I am two thirds of the way to my goal of $15,800. As of today I have raised $10,280 !!! Thank you for making this dream a possibility! I still need to raise $5,520 and I am confident that God can meet my goal before I depart in July. If you would like to contribute to my trip you can do so by visiting my website and clicking the ‘Support Me’ link.

Training Camp The past few months have been filled with preparations: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. On Friday, April 4th, I flew to Georgia to meet up with the 35 other individuals who are part of the July 2008 team. The ten day intensive camp was so much more than I was expecting. Not only did our team bond right from the start but we were all able to encounter God in a powerful, unique, and lasting way. Through seminars, team building exercises, and old fashioned fun we were able to prep ourselves for the journey to come.
Excitement Building I‘m now back home and entering the final two months before departure. It’s going to be extremely hectic as I try to get everything completed and all the loose ends tied up before I leave my life as I know. Please pray that I will manage my time wisely during the last few months and that I will continually seek God in everything I do.
In a mere 68 days I will be embarking on the journey of a lifetime. I will be leaving my family, my friends, my bed, my comforts, and my routine in exchange for the unknown. I couldn’t be more excited. Thank you for being a part of this with me! Your partnership is invaluable!
