Sometimes, God’s timing doesn’t seem so perfect. I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean. There are circumstances that happen that seems so perfectly in lined with God’s will all to realize the journey wasn’t about arriving rather its about the lessons you were learn along the way. Let’s recap the leading up to “PVT” Parent Vision Trip.

My sister was supposed to join me in India working at a special needs orphanage. I heard God say she was the one to come. For eight months God had been equipping and getting her ready to journey on her first mission trip. We had no idea the amount of faith it would require to get her here. First step we had to confirm with Adventures that she was the one to come. This was a parent vision trip but God knew she wasn’t just my sister but my mom and friend. She was the one called by God, she got accepted. Second step convincing her husband she was suppose to come, but soon God came through in this area too. Her husband began to see unspeakable joy in my sister and “this trip” was beginning to bring us closer to Jesus and closer to each other. He said Yes! Then we started the visa process. Everything seemed to be working out smoothly even the funding began to poor in, God is so Good. Months began to pass, time was getting closer and closer. The more time that passed the more excited we got but with that time was also becoming the enemy. My sister had not received her visa yet and with out the visa she could not book a flight. We encouraged one another by reminding each other God is good, he is sovereign, and he will come through. More time had passed and no visa. Even though fear was creeping at our backs we knew God was working and continued to refuse the lies of the enemy. Now we are just a few days before my sister is to join me on the field in India and still no visa. Faith began to rise up in ways I had never seen but fear was never far behind. Finally we tracked her visa. She was going to stop the visa shipping in a city close by and pick it up on the way to the airport. God was so good everything was in Gods perfect timing.

But when God is on the move the enemy is too. Her visa got stopped to early and never made it. She had no other option than to cancel her plane ticket. We were devastated but we had done everything we knew to do. God where are you? God you have done so much, why is this happening? This is your will? We knew God was in this but we did not understand why God had done so much for all of this not to work out. Shortly after we heard that some of the parents were not able to fly out until the next day due to weather. We thought God is making a way, its still possible! The visa arrived in a town close by but my sister had to cancel her plane ticket; what do we do now, God? The Lord provided, money came in she got her ticket. It was worth it; we had come to far in faith to stop now. She picked up her visa and headed to the airport. All to get there within seconds of the doors closing… She missed her flight. Left disappointed and broken we knew God was still good. But we didn’t understand, why God why? Why would you move mountains only to not prevail. This journey was hard and extremely painful. Even though our emotions we failing us the truth remained God is still good, but where is his goodness and why now? His timing didn’t seem perfect rather anything but that.

Truth is God is good all the time! The journey has been long in waiting for his answer but he did answer. I have learned when you can’t see Gods hand trust his heart. God showed me that he was setting a president in my faith for the next season he was about to walk me through. A faith that trust regardless of the outcome or the circumstances surrounding what I’m believing in him for. He has also taught me in order to posses the promises/inheritances he has given me sometimes requires disposing it from the enemy. On this earth we are never going be in a place where the enemy is not going put up a fight but God is never going to put us in the battle without equipping us for the fight. God is training me how to walk in faith and live a life knowing he is good. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” And for my sister well she became a mother to an orphan. God did call her to mother a child it just wasn’t in India. I believe God brought comfort and peace, in exchange for our faith and trust. One day me and my sister will do missions together. God is not done with us! He truly is Good all the time! His perfect love cast out all fear and His timing is perfect because he is sovereign.
