As we walked around the center of town last night, it was full of people. Unlike the last time we visited, as you can see. It is such a good breeding ground for street evangelism. We split up into small groups of three and began approaching people.

Many people received us but some did not. We had to explain to them that we were not selling anything instead, offering them a free gift. We were offering tangible gifts like chocolates and intangible gifts like salvation.

There was a particular family I want to tell you about. We walked up to this family, who at first seemed very uninterested in what we had to say, but we pressed on. My ministry host then began to explain salvation in Spanish to them and she posed an important question. Do you want to receive Jesus as your Savior today? In the time we had spent evangelizing, we had been told no or we already know Jesus. I was prepared for the let down, but that was not the case.

Together they answered “Yes”. We rejoiced the way one rejoices after a marriage proposal. We then had the opportunity to lead them in prayer to receive Christ. That day a pregnant woman, a man, and a little girl all became believers. We rejoiced, heaven rejoiced, and I know you are rejoicing now! God is good. If we experienced everything we have experienced here in Peru, if the only reason we even came to Peru was for this family to become children of God, it was worth it all.

COUNT IT ALL JOY.
