Hello Brothers and Sisters,
I hope that this reaches you well and if you are going through anything let the Living Word of God deliver and restore you.
Can I share with you a few things?
“Yes?” okay. lol
Bare with me here for I do not call myself a writer but writing seems to be the only way I can share my testimonies with you right now.
This last two weeks as I’m sure many of you already have seen through the news and social media, a few more African American people have been killed by White Officers and in retaliation five White officers have been killed. So I have watched the videos of the protests, and of the killings and of peoples responses to them on social media, facebook to be specific and fear was dropped in my Spirit.
The reason I say fear was “dropped” in my spirit is because God has not given us a spirit of fear ( 2 Timothy 1:7); but a Spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind.
This fear that was dropped in my spirit was stronger than anything I have ever felt before. It started to rule my thoughts and my actions. Can I be real with you for a moment. I was terrified, not only to die in America at the hand of a police officer, not only for a love one or friend to die in America at the hand of a police officer but to die abroad. Yes, Abroad. This fear began to tell me that the world is too dangerous to do a missions trip because everyday in the world ISIS and radical muslims and just people infused with hatred point are killing people. I began to question whether or not I should go abroad, whether or not God has truly called me to go, whether or not he will protect me, or if I will even return.
My Spirit felt troubled brothers and sisters and doubt filled me! BUT GOD IS ABLE!
I say God is able because I prayed to him on the first day, and he spoke to me telling me to “Trust Him” but of course this human body of mine would not.
So I prayed and worshipped on the second day, and God spoke and told me “I have called you and I will be with you”, but this human body of mine did not believe.
So I woke up out of a nap today and God told me to pray.
So I prayed, but today was different, I prayed with authority and I boldly and humbly came before him just exalting him for being God. And the Holy Spirit stepped in and with tongues spoke to the Father and when It was all done I felt different. So I went and opened my bible , not looking for anything but just opening to whatever page would come first and I landed in Corinthians.
Let me share with you the words of God that calmed all fear in me and removed all doubt and restored me to a fearless Christian living in America and going abroad. I pray my brothers and sisters as you read and meditate on the words of God that it will deliver you from any fear or doubt or whatever may be weighing on you today.
1 Corinthians 12:3
” Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit”
Accursed or anathema meaning alienated from God without hope of being redeemed.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
” For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free and have all been made to drink into one Spirit”
1 Corinthians 12:23-26
“And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it”
Schism:a split or division between strongly opposed sections or parties, caused by differences in opinion or belief
So as you say the next scripture below, replace the word love with Christ. This is Powerful guys!
1 Corinthians 13
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love”
1 Corinthians 14:33
“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”
1 Corinthians 15:12-58
“Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.”
“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.”
“Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”
“But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written,“The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.”
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
