Just wanted to share a story to maybe encourage you guys!

I went to go get a pedicure today so that my toes would be pretty in the silver sandals I have to wear to a wedding this weekend.  I figured that as a bridesmaid (for the 7th time!) it’s my duty to at least have pretty toes ๐Ÿ™‚  The guy who was doing my pedicure was quite young.  In his early 20’s I would guess.  Now, I realize that many of you who are reading are pretty much that same age, but everyone else working in the nail salon was clearly not as young as he.  He asked if I worked today…yes.  He asked how work was…boring.  But I won’t be there much longer I told him.  I explained that I was going on a missions trip.  Then, unexpectedly, the two ladies sitting next to me chimed in.  Where?? they asked.  So I proceeded to tell all within an earshot the 11 countries we would be traveling to.  Turns out that the 2 ladies are Christians and very excited to hear about my trip.  The younger lady even donated money just yesterday to a married couple going on the January 2011 race! She didn’t even know them.  They asked questions about language barriers and even how much money I had to raise.  I got to tell them about the bracelets on my wrist.  They immediately wanted to buy some.  Before the paint was even on my toes I had sold 4 bracelets to these two ladies.  The best part was that they each handed me a check for $100.00 The older lady was conversing with a friend outside and she apparently told her about my trip.  The friend came back in just to chat with me and tell me that she would be praying for me and my trip.  She wrote down my blog address so she would know how to reach me.  By the time the paint dried, I had sold 4 bracelets, made $200, and found 3 new prayer warriors.  ๐Ÿ™‚  I do love pedicures lol

(not my actual toes, but quite close to the color they are now painted ๐Ÿ™‚
