Hey September 2010 squad!!!
I’m so excited that we get to become friends over the next
few months. My name is
Cindy and I will
be your support coach. As your coach, I
am here to work with you as your
raise your financial support for your World Race. I want you all to know that I am here for
you. I’m here to encourage, push, support
and hold you accountable. I want to see
you push through discouragement and witness how faithful our God is! I want you to know that I’ve been where you
are right now and I’m at the other end screaming out that the Lord provides!
Life before my race was great. I worked for my church, lived with two of my
best friends and was a youth leader. One
day my pastor came to me and told me that the Lord told him to release me to
start searching for what He had for me next.
He said that he knew my heart was for missions and wanted me to explore
what that looked like. So I went on a
hunt and came across the World Race. I
read blogs and watched videos and prayed about it. I remember weighing out the costs. Leaving my family, friends, my awesome church
and not to mention the financial cost.
It seemed like so much money. I
couldn’t shake the fact that I knew this was what God wanted me to do. So I applied and was accepted.
The money didn’t come flooding in. I had to work at it. I wrote letters and did fundraisers and still
only had a couple thousand dollars in my account. I finally broke because I knew I needed the
Lord to come through but didn’t trust that He would. To make a long story short, He came through. It was at the 11th
hour but I was able to launch with my team and even finish the race. God was able to provide every single penny I needed
at the minute that I wanted it but one He loved me too much to make it easy. My faith needed to be tested and proved and
through that I grew so much.
I believe that the Lord will provide every single bit of
support each of you need. For some it
will come flooding in, for others it will come in a little at a time, and for a
few it will be in spurts. Whatever it
looks like, be confident in the Love that God has for you. You are called and He has already provided,
all you have to do is receive. I dare
you to ask Him for BIG!
With that said, you’ve just received your support
goals! The first one is coming up on
June 16th of $4000. If you
have less than that in your account I need you to call me on Wednesday, Thursday
or Friday of next week. This is just so
that we can connect and make a plan for next month. If you need anything, feel free to contact me
