Another Week of Getting in the Word and Prayer,

I decided that we should also read through the book of John during this time because I believe it is crucial that we meditate on the Gospel of our salvation, and if we ever want to share it with others, we must first know it ourselves. So I want to encourage us to go back and revisit the life of Jesus, seen through the lens of John the Beloved, his closest and most intimate friend. And throughout the entire book, remember that we are reading about the God who became a man, the God who disrobed Himself from glory and covered Himself with dust.

So just read chapters 1 and 2 this week and note that I included John 1 on Week 1’s post to make everything uniform. After this week we will just do 1 chapter per week, and the chapter should correspond with what Prayer Emphasis Week we are in. Also, don’t forget to pray this week’s verse over our team and the Church in Nepal.

Country Emphasis – Nepal

Scripture Emphasis – John 2

Verse Emphasis – Ephesians 3:16-19 (NKJV)

 “That He would grant
you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with
might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height –
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
