Hey everyone,
It’s been a few weeks since my last blog so I have a lot to fill you in on. First we will start off with the good news. I MADE MY FIRST GOAL!!! By September 26th each person in my squad needs to have 3,500 in there account. As you can see by my progress bar at the top of my blog home page you guys blew that out of the water. I am so thankful to all my friend and family for being so generous and I am so grateful to serve a God so good. He keeps providing and showing me this is exactly what he wants me to be doing with my life.
Now for the bad news, the journey hasn’t all been easy or gone according to plan. I suffered my first big disappointment in my fundraising effort. My grandma said something that really helped me not be angry. She said that people in my life will always be letting you down but Christ will always be there!
Now for the good good news! God is amazing and He will provide and I have complete faith in that. So no matter how many ups and downs will come in the journey (and im sure there will be a lot over the next year and a half) I promise to have faith and put my complete trust in the Lord.
The next big event in my Race is training camp. October 11th -18th me, my whole squad, and the 3 other squads launching at the same time as me will be at the adventures in missions headquarters just outside of Atlanta Georgia. This is a very rustic camp so we are told to pack just like we would for the Race. At camp we will be meeting are squad, getting put into teams, and learning everything we need to know to travel the world for a year. So I’m guessing it will be a very busy week.
