Well, we’re back from training camp! It’s been tough to sit down and actually describe what the experience was like, but here’s a snippet of the whole shebang…
Turns out that the “training” had more to do with understanding/fixing ourselves in order to be any sort of blessing to people around the world that are lost and dealing with their own problems. After all, how can we teach people about God’s grace, love, and mercy, when we have difficulty experiencing/accepting that in our own lives? We get used to thinking it’s up to US to make life what we WANT it to be, when in reality our lives are not our own. It’s up to us to turn to God and accept that HE is the alpha, the omega, and EVERYTHING in between. Once we are able to do that, we can embrace all of the things that happen in our lives- especially the unexpected. Then all of a sudden the control that we THINK we have (or feel entitled to) turns into peace, and disappointment will be a thing of the past. Slowly but surely Scott and I are learning this lesson, tough as it may be… and we hope the same for you.
Aside from all that craziness there was… um… MORE craziness! Starting from the weather (it’s bipolar-seriously), the dirt that turns into mud, that turns into gunk (EW!), the food (it’s… interesting that’s for sure), the “bathrooms” (HA!), the “showers” (double-HA!), the people (LOVE them, but they’re crazy- lol) and their ideas of “working out”… let’s just say that if you are introverted and/or if you don’t like to dance, this IS the place for you (…pshh, for you to get rid of the old you). So… yeah.
Like I said earlier, it’s hard to explain the things that went on, but I will say this: God has AMAZING things in store for us, for the people we will be reaching out to, and for YOU because you’re seeking Him with open arms and hearts!
introducing team: IGNITUS!

We are SO excited to finally have gotten the chance to meet our squad members, especially our teammates! These are the people that we’ll be traveling alongside during this marvellous journey. Please pray for us as we continue to prepare for travel in January. Thanks friends!
