- To cry– a lot
- To learn to feel more deeply
- To appreciate everything more
- To grow in love and faith
- To touch people’s lives, and vise versa
- To want to do more than I am capable of
- To witness miracles
- To learn to depend on others more
- To learn the true meaning of selflessness
- To be homesick
- To make life-long friends (that’s you! :-D)
- To live on faith
- To fall even more in love with my husband
- To truly see God and His Glory
- To have a hard time readjusting to the states once this part of my journey is over
- The unexpected
Show me how to love like you have loved me…
Break my heart from what breaks yours, Everything I am for your kingdoms cause,
As I go from nothing to Eternity…”
-Hosanna, Hillsong United-
· To meet incredible people, living lives extremely different from my own, who are desperately in need of God’s love.
· To see God’s beauty reflected not only in the people we meet, but also in the breathtaking scenery we will be surrounded by.
· To be challenged in ways unlike anything we have ever experienced in school, jobs, or at home.
· To be physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually broken down to the point that all we have left to rely on is God.
· To experience God’s strength, grace, and love as he builds us back up into the people he wants us to be.
· To share this experience as husband and wife, and in doing so, to grow closer than ever before.
· To form meaningful friendships with our fellow racers.
· Anything and everything else. God’s plan rarely coincides with our expectations, so we are ready for practically anything.
