I was so excited to come home and see my family and friends, drive a car, go where I want, eat what I want, be by myself, and take really hot showers. While I have been here all of those things have been incredible, but it’s still very weird.

My family and friends are awesome, and I love them all; but it’s been a year of life without me and it is the holiday season. When I left life went on, and though everybody here still loves me a ton I am not apart of their day to day anymore.

Going where I want, being by myself and taking really long, hot showers is awesome; they just aren’t as awesome as I thought they would be. In fact, being by myself all of the time kind of sucks sometimes, I don’t really like it all that much. I would much rather be with people. I will admit though, I do need some alone time, and I have enjoyed it to a certain point.

Driving a car is incredible! I love every second of that…until I pull up to the gas pump. But regardless, driving is definitely one of my favorite parts of being home.

Basically, what I am trying to say is that I completely romanticized this whole coming home business! Life on the Race was awesome, and while it was definitely time for that season to end I am excited for my next season to start!

The last thing that I want to do is leave you with the impression that my life is terrible, so let me tell you about some really awesome things!

For the first time since May I got my hair done, and it looks awesome. It is short and the color of fire, who could ask for anything more??

I have had the privilege to share with several different groups of people that supported me and prayed for me over this past year. They have all been so encouraging. I would not have made it through this past year had it not been for them, and they will be sending me off into this next year so ready to take on whatever comes my way!

Harley is my mom’s bull mastiff, and the love of my life…and I love being at home with him, even though he stinks and he snores.

People that I have never met before know who I am and ask really good questions!

My family is here, and it is super nice to just be in their presence.

And last, but certainly not least…I am in the greatest state….Texas, and I love every second of it! So sweet!!
