Have you ever wanted to be in the clouds? I have always wanted to play in the clouds, and today I am going to tell you a story about how we worked in the clouds yesterday!
Yesterday started off super good, and then got a little rough. You see, we went to Denny’s to meet our contact for the day when I was able to skype my mom!! Things couldn’t be better, right?! It didn’t hit me though that I miss my mom as much as I do, and when it was time to say our goodbyes I really struggled with no loosing it right there in the middle of Denny’s! But I quickly went to the bathroom, pushed my feeling down (which I am no good at), and continued on with breakfast.
The morning went on and we hopped in the back of the truck to go up the mountain and work on building a pond in the midst of poop! The higher up the mountain that we got the foggier it got….the mountain was covered in a big ol’ cloud, but it hadn’t really hit me yet.
The morning went on and I was still suppressing all of my feelings when I smashed my fingers between a rock and my tool; and that brought on the tears…big time!!! I couldn’t quit crying…the tears wouldn’t quit coming!
I eventually had to walk away and have a moment when I found the most incredible play to sit and just look at the forest blanketed with cloudness when I remembered my last planed flight before the race when I looked out at the clouds from above and said to God, I really want to play in the clouds some day.
God did it! He gave me a miracle…by the end of the day I had worked, cried, laughed, sang, danced, and had time with Jesus…all in the clouds!
And Mary said,
“My sould magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts:
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
