While I lived in Missouri I attended High Street Baptist Church, and I absolutely loved it! I loved how involved the church was in the community, but at the same time we had a heart for missions, and we were just ready to serve Jesus. It was the best church that I could have been apart of while in Missouri!
That being said, the move home to Texas was a little overwhelming because I didn't have a church to come home to. And to be honest, I didn't really think that I would find one, love it so much, and get involved in the short 6 months that I would be here.
But then I visited First Baptist Church of Wylie….
I have been attending the church for about a month, and last week I joined. I was pretty excited about it, but then I got two invitations in the mail. One was for the new members class, and the other was for a new members/staff dinner.
After spending the day getting to know the church, and the men and women who lead it I can honestly say that I am so excited about First Baptist Wylie!! I'm pretty sure that over the next 5 months God is going to allow me to be apart of some of the incredible things that He is doing there, and I cannot even wait to see what that looks like!!!
Needless to say, High Street is incredible, and I will forever love that church, the friends that I made, and the time that I spent there, but now I am excited about all of the new challenges that I will face with my new church family!
