Before I say anything about what went on this month I must give advice to future racers:

    Bathrooms are some of the best places to journal and have quiet time.

     It may seem strange right now, but you’ll be thankful when you’re wanting “alone” time. Find a bathroom when everyone else goes to bed, lock yourself in, and you’re golden! I’m thankful we had a normal toilet this month so I didn’t have to sit on the ground, though sitting on the ground may happen in the future.

    Going from America to Germany to Cape Town (staying in Cape Town for five days) and then flying to India was a whirlwind- but I am so thankful to be back on the field. After being in India for close to a month, I know beyond anything this is where God wants me.I don’t feel like this is just some momentary thing anymore…this is my life until December (possibly longer) and I could not ask for more.

     India was the one country I had no desire to visit, but it is the country that has stolen my heart. The sights, the sounds, the smells are different from anything I’ve ever experienced. This month we worked with  ICM doing administrative tasks and village ministry.

     Two resounding themes God kept showing me this month were “You’re blessed more than you know” and “Your ministry is your life- the way you love.”

“You’re blessed more than you know”

{The Lord opened my eyes a lot this month. As we were walking through a village a woman stopped us and invited us into her home. She opened her fridge and there was nothing there. Her son grabbed the last papaya and some peanut balls and served us. They had nothing, but gave us everything they had. I’ve never felt more blessed. The poorest people in these villages would give the shirt off their backs to a person in need. It was so humbling to witness.

"Ministry is how you conduct your life- how you love"

{Coming into India  I figured we would be working with kids or going door to door- praying for people When we found out my team would be working in administration for part of the time I thought, “Really God? How is this helping anyone know You better?”  He reminded me that ministry is not where you are or what you are doing. Ministry is how you conduct your life- how you love.}

You could be walking down the street, waving to kids- that’s ministry.
You could be changing dirty diapers in an orphanage- that’s ministry.
You could be sitting in an office scanning documents- that’s ministry.
You could be sitting in a coffee shop talking to a friend- that’s ministry.
Doesn't matter where or who- as long as you are loving like Jesus- you are doing ministry.

Ministry should never stop.

Such an amazing month, filled with inspiring people.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Love and miss you all!
