In January I was in a very small village called Satrai, in northeast India. My team and I stayed at a school and hostel. Most kids here in Northeast India leave their parents at a very young age to go to school. They live in a hostel at or near the school and only get to visit their parents once or twice a month. While we were here we got to love on them, play cricket with them, and have dance parties with these wonderful kiddos!

L T was our host and he is an incredible man of God. He taught me so much, like how to serve and do your duty with your entire freaking heart. He loved us almost to well.

We did VBS every morning with the kids from the village! We taught them lots of songs and dances, played games with them, and taught them bible lessons.

We were able to pray for so many people

We have gotten the chance to speak at so many churches and visits so many different villages

At the end on the month we put together this block party type thing for the village. Over three hundred people showed up. We were able to share the gospel and show them the love of Christ. We cooked them food and had tea with all of them. At the end of the party we talked about how everyone who knows Jesus has a light inside of them and that we all need to share this light with the people around us. We gave everyone a candle and they all lit each other’s candles until all three hundred people had their candles lit. It was so beautiful to witness this acted of sharing God with those around you. So incredible!

We found out after we left Satria, that the wife of the village Hindu priest came to our block party and the Holy Spirit encountered her that night. And she is now following Jesus wholeheartedly! How cool is that! Jesus is so awesome!

I am so thankful for the wonderful time I was able to spend in Satria. And I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure Satria did more for me than I did for it and for that I am so very thankful.
