Last month my team, Uplift, had the honor to host two girls that were on an exposure trip through Adventures in Missions. This means that they join us for one month on the Race for insight on what missions and the World Race looks like. Abby and Renata were a huge blessing to us.
Abby wrote a poem about Uplift, and my wonderful teammate Meg shared her beautiful poem. Enjoy.

Meg– My little, Abby, wrote a poem about Team Uplift while she was with it and it was SO beautiful we (the team( wanted to share it with all of you! Here you go:
“They Strolled through
Foreign streets
Hand in Hand with
Radiant Command;
Basking in the while
In babbling brooks
To smooth their tender dreams.
A fluttering heartbeat from
Mountain to sea –
Sharing whispers, songs, peace.
Synonymous Earth to see.
All eyes in search of a key.
In wrapping arms through
Fortress walls and
Dirty streets,
They danced through
foreign streets
Hand in Hand with
Radiant Command.
Swaying grasses for tired eyes.
Yet temporal ambient clouds
To rally towards the feat.
A feat worth grasping towards
Worth all the tears to weep.
Worth all the chords to be
Sung in praise.
From atop all hills
They sang through
Foreign streets
Hand in Hand with
Radiant Command.”
BRAVO, Abby! Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us! We miss you and Renata so stinking much!
