1. Baby wipes are a racer’s best friend.
2. You will buy clothes when you realize only half of them are appropriate for your country, and those are not light enough for the heat.
3. Packing cubes keep you organized when you share a room with 11 other women.
4. Stuff is cheap. Food is cheap. But it adds up, so be careful.
5. You find out what it is like to never have air conditioning and basically always be outside, unless maybe you go to a nice restaurant, if that is even around.
6. You meet amazing people along the way. A guy in a tattoo parlor, a chef in a cafe, a local teacher, an interpreter, missionaries from other places, and many more.
7. The things you go through at training camp will happen to someone on your squad, if not more. Remember what you learned at training camp and launch.
8. Your heart will be opened if you allow it to be. God wants to grow you if you will let Him.
