This is the verse that describes my life.
God has provided for me in many different ways throughout my life. First, he provided a christian family to raise me . He gave me my grandparents to help fill the gap that not having a father had left. He gave me two wonderful older brothers to keep me striving to accomplish my goals, as we were very competitive 🙂
I have always had something to EAT. I have always had SHELTER. I have always been LOVED.
So many people in this world do not have basic needs met. Children starve to death, parents die of aids, beautiful people live in poverty beyond imagine.
Women and children are trafficked, USED as slaves to satisfy the evil lusts of men. Kids are abandoned, abused and looked upon as trash. Men are helpless to do anything to help their families.
God has put it on my heart to do something for the least of these. To put hope into their hearts and food in their bellies. To help them escape slavery, learn new skills, and gain self respect. To love them with no conditions, expecting nothing in return, and ultimately pointing them to Christ.
This trip is not about me though. It’s not even really about the people I will help, though I really am excited about it. It is about God first. Fulfilling my purpose of worshipping Him. Giving Him the glory. I do that through loving people. I do that through asking you to partner with me. I do that through trusting Him.
So I ask you now, will you be a part of this? Will you ask God what it is He is calling you to give?
Financially?
Prayerfully?
Both?
I really hope you become a part of this journey with me. I don’t need you to be. I WANT you to be. I know God wants to use you. Will you let him?
