Some of you have asked how the World Race plans are coming along. As many of you may have seen in your mail boxes recently…I sent out about sixty support letters over the previous few weeks and still hope to mail around forty more. I also visited with folks at the Adventures In Missions office in Gainesville this Monday morning. You see each Monday morning their staff starts their work week in a pretty unique way. They have a big breakfast followed by worship time together. The breakfast is from 8:30am until the worship starts at 9:00am and goes for a hour until 10:00 am. I got to meet several other Racers who I will be following in their footsteps and got their advice.

I also meet with a local Pastor (Chuck Allen from Sugar Hill Church) who is well acquainted with this ministry and he made sure as he put it that I was going into this with my "eyes wide open." I definitely appreciated his feedback about how hard this mission will be and reiterating that it will be WORK for sure. God please give me everything I will need and help me to utilize these things when I need them the most. I know one thing for sure…that YOU ARE 100 percent in this trek with me!

I haven't YET seen much forward progress in the way of funds to be honest. I have my first financial deadline of $3,500 to meet by Sept 27th which made me a little nerves AT FIRST. However; I had to remember that this whole mission was not my idea in the first place and am learning to trust Yahweh with the details…ALL of the details! Even if or ESPECIALLY if nothing comes together. I have even come to the place that if the doors that I believe God has told me to walk through don't open for me at least I can say I walked right up to those doors and did everything shy of kicking them open, yet they won't budge. In other words I did my part by obeying. The heavy lifting is where God comes in. The pressure is off.

Well that's about it for now! I am already looking forward to the next blog where I may follow up with whatever is around the next turn in this journey. Until then BLESSINGS GALORE!
