Dearest Friends and Family,

As some of you may know, after I graduated in 2014 I decided to take some time off before going to college and pursuing a career. During the past two years I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, got my first apartment, and began interning for the student ministry of a local church. I thought God had brought me to Charlotte to stay and put down roots, but over the past four or five months it became obvious to me that God was preparing me for an even bigger life change.

I recently applied and was accepted to the World Race! This is an 11 month long Christian mission trip to 11 different countries. I will be leaving in October to spend a month in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and the Philippines. While there my squad and I will partner with local ministries to share the Gospel, plant churches, serve in orphanages, do construction work, minister to women and children caught in human trafficking, and bring the hope and restoration of the Father’s love to the people we meet. I’m so looking forward to meeting God’s people around the world and seeing what they have to teach me about their cultures, lifestyles, and faith.

This trip is fast approaching and I can’t do it alone. I have two goals before I leave: One is to have a group of people committed to pray for my team and I as we travel and do God’s work. The second goal is to raise $16,561. This money will be used to pay for my lodging, food, travel, and other necessities while in country. I know it is a crazy amount of money, but I also know my God is a big God. I have faith that He will provide the means for me to do His work. This is where you come in; I would love to have your prayer or financial support! If 40 people agree to donate $40 per month for ten months, I will be fully supported. I am so excited about this opportunity and I prayerfully ask for your support in this journey. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and/or financial support.

Peace and Blessings,

 Sarah Weatherford
