Friends abound on the World Race. You just have to look for them. They could be the person behind the counter at your hostel, or the guys staying in the room below yours. They could be the gentleman that sat down at a table near you for dinner, or a couple of guys that you ran into at the bus station. Don’t pass up an opportunity to be light and love, because you just might make lifetime friends!!! Because we haven’t passed up opportunities in the last three days, we have at least 12 more friends, and several more acquaintances that could be great contacts for AIM in the future!!
Two guys that work at our hostel as Christians also, and we have been able to encourage them and lift them up. Two different guys had been traveling just weeks and days behind us through the last three countries we visited. Two teammates met two Christians at a bus station because they couldn’t find the right bus, and one of the Christians asked if he could help. Three more guys staying at the hostel simply struck up a conversation and one of my teammates got to talk to them for a while. There have been so many more little moments, and I simply can’t remember them all!!
Always be willing to add friends to your life!! They are worth it!
