it’s taken a little bit for me to get it up here…I am one of those
people who lives in the dark ages and doesn’t have internet at my house.
I’m going to try to be better about finding time to get out there and
blog…use the internet at Borders…enjoy a nice cup of coffee…and
write about how stoked I am about this trip.
currently living in the very HOT city of Atlanta. Georgia has been my
home off and on for the past four years and there are lots of things
about it that I love. There are lots of things about it that I don’t love
but I try to be one of those positive thinkers.
brother and sister in law moved out last July…this is the first time
since my brother first left for college in 1998 that we’ve all lived in
the same place. As a family, we try to get together at least once a
week…we eat dinner, watch So You Think You Can Dance, enjoy the antics
of my brother’s Jack Russell/Dachshund mutt who has an excess of
personality…
most blessed by, it would be my family. Every day, I see brokenness in
families and I’m so thankful that mine is so supportive, not only of me,
but of each other. It’s a rare quality for a family to have and I thank
God all the time that I get to be a part of such an amazing one.
wonderful and beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. It was during those
formative years that I gained my adoration for the outdoors. I love to
camp, ski, hike, run, explore, etc. I lived on a floating home for
several years so I got the chance to really live ON the water…so I
feel the most at home when I’m close to an ocean, river, or lake.
Santa Cruz is the most laid back city on the face of the planet…people
pretty much surf all day long and don’t do anything else. This is the
place that I consider to be home and has always kept my heart. It’s the
most quirky, unusual, and beautiful city you’ll ever encounter. And it’s
complete with an 80 year old wooden roller coaster right on the beach.
Unbeatable.
Pacific University, which is about half an hour outside of Hollywood.
Sometimes I miss LA…I miss Angel Stadium, Disneyland, Laguna Beach,
Pinkberry, In-n-Out, and everything else that city has to offer. But all
in all, I’m not too sad that I don’t live there anymore.
been going on. I do feel fortunate to have lived so many places. I like
that when I’m talking to new people, I can often find something in
common with them because I have lived all over. I’ve been privileged to
travel all over the country and it’s on my bucket list to visit all
fifty states. I’m close…only ten to go…
more when I blog about how I was called to humanitarian outreach. I will
say, though, that no matter where I’ve been, what I’ve been doing, what
direction I’ve been headed, whether I felt like I was doing the right
thing or was completely off track…I’ve always been comforted by the
presence of my Savior. A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when
we think about God is the most important
thing about us.” What comes to my mind is that He is my BEST friend. My
hope is that everything I do…ALL the choices I make and the behavior I
exhibit daily…is a reflection of that knowledge.
to have the opportunity to share the Love we’ve experienced with a
world who is desperate to feel it.
