My team and I like to refer to Romania as "Romerica."

Although we may actually be in the foreign country of Romania, we in fact feel like we are in America at times.

To my dismay, there were not as many cultural quirks this month.

However, as always, there were still moments where I am reminded that I am not home.

8. Your accommodations are nicer than at home…who knew I would be using a heated towel rack while on the Race?

7. You realize that your concrete covered clothes are no match for the trendy European look that everyone is sporting

6. You can get away with speaking English in a foreign country…the European education system is so cool like that

5. Weekend trips to other countries are no big deal

4. You finally blend in…you are actually mistaken for being Romanian

3. A simple meal of spaghetti goes array when you cannot read labels at the grocery store (Spaghetti out of tomatoe paste and ground pork is just not the same.)
