30 hours and counting until I leave my home in Delavan, WI to embark on a crazy adventure across the globe following my one true Love.

Here's what I will (hopefully) jam into the next 30 hours:
1. Packing and unpacking my backpack at least 3 more times to make sure I have all the "essentials"
2. Taking a looooooong, hot shower, painting my toes, and other pampering
3. Finishing up some letter/e-mail writing, probably with "You've Got Mail" playing in the background
4. Changing my voicemail to let callers know that it's nothing personal, but I won't return their calls for 11 months
5. Celebrating my birthday tomorrow with friends and family
6. Checking in for my flight and printing out my airline ticket
7. Putting together a little support-raising kit for my amazing friend and advocate, Chelsea
8. Filling out 2 more grad school applications, e-mailing recommendation forms to my references, editing my personal statement, typing up my resume, and kicking myself in the butt for not doing this earlier…
9. Sleeping and fully enjoying the luxury of my own full-sized bed with lots of pillows in an air-conditioned room just steps away from a clean, flushing toilet
10. Spending some quiet time with Jesus, thanking Him for this incredible adventure that lies ahead of me and asking Him to do whatever it takes to destroy my sinful nature and submit me to do His will

What can you do in the next 30 hours in partnership with me?
1. PRAY: I would love it for you all to cover me in prayers for the Holy Spirit to take the wheel, for me to leave the past in the past, for strength and perseverence as I realize what I've gotten myself into, and for the safety of everyone on my squad as we travel from all over the US and Canada to meet up in New York and then fly to Romania.
2. Give: God has been sooooooo good to me the past week bringing in lots of support before I head out. I only have about $5,500 left to raise! Please take some time to ask the Lord if He would have you support this mission financially.
3. Subscribe: There's a little link on the left side of this blog where you can sign up to receive e-mail updates so you'll have a little notification whenever I share a new story here.
4. Share: Tell everyone you know about this blog, share the link on Facebook, etc. While I am not a great writer, I know that I have this blog because God will use it this year to touch lives. Who knows how this blog could be used in someone's life! Please pass this opportunity along.
5. Write: You have no idea how much I would appreciate a little line or two in the comments section, a post on Facebook, or an e-mail ([email protected]). Now and throughout the year, I would LOVE to hear from you.
