Hello All!
Welcome to my blog! For those of you just hearing about my adventure at a fundraiser or through my flyer, let me try and give a little more insight. In September I launch on a journey to 11 countries across 4 continents over the span of 11 months. I will be with team of 6 or 7 people in each location and apart of a greater squad of 50-60 people who travel together to each country. Each month will bring a new country and a new ministry with which we will work. We will likely be doing everything from working with orphans to prostitutes to doing door-to-door ministry to sports camps. You name the type of ministry and there is a chance one of our teams will be doing it. Most of the time I will not know the nature of my work, or even where I will be staying in a particular country until I land there, so I apologize for how often I can't really answer your specific questions about the 'where' and 'whats' of the Race. So that is a little more about the logistics of the trip. Below you will find a post explaining a little bit of why I have chosen to do this trip.
As of this post I still need another $9,000 in my account to be able to go on this adventure. If you are interested in supporting missions financially, and more specifically me, there is a link to the left of this post that says, "DONATE MONEY HERE." It will take you to another page where you can set up how much and how often you would like to donate. For a lot of people it is easier to just do $10 or $20 a month instead of some lump sum. That is awesome! Even a one-time $10 or $20 donation is great. It all adds up!
More than money I need people willing to partner with me in prayer. I will be posting some race specific requests closer to the time and will probably have some more included in my blogs throughout the race. I will attempt to write a couple blogs a month so you can stay updated on what is going on.
