Part of our ministry in Nepal was spending a week 20 hours south by bus in the “jungle.” While it turned out not to be as much of a jungle as we expected, it was a wonderful week spent seeking the Lord and getting to know the local church. We spent most of our time working with the local church and praying and doing house visits to the people of the local villages. We attended a wedding and a funeral and witnessed all of life in between.

This girl asked for prayers for healing for her arm. There is so much that basic medicine could cure but it is too expensive and there is little access to medicine for the local people.

I met this lady during an outreach in the village. She asked for prayers for healing. Even though I couldn’t understand her, her smile and expressions spoke volumes.

My main question: how do you eat with a nose ring that long?

Some of the beautiful children we met during house visits. These girls were so sweet!

We were followed everywhere we went by curious children.

This beautiful young women served our team so well all week by cooking for us. Nepalese food is very similar to Indian food. So much curry!
The week we spent in the “jungle” was one of my favorites. Even though the house we stayed in was infested by giant cockroaches, and sleeping on the floor with 20 other girls got a bit crazy, I loved spending time with the local church and grew a lot spiritually
