I’m in Africa! Praise the Lord! New continent, new country, new attitude.
We spent the first few days in transition in Nairobi and we are now in Isebania, Kenya. During the five or so days of transition, we were with the entire squad so I got a chance to see the women of what was once Gozo again. It was nice to see to them, that goes without saying, but what was even cooler was being able to see how much the team changes have affected me. This last month in Cambodia, the first month with my new team was by far one of the hardest ones so far. But it was during the transition time that God really showed me how much I have grown just in the last month alone. This last month was hard to be with all new people but it made me so desperate for God and His comfort. Through this desperation I have somehow managed to tangibly grow closer to Him and I think, maybe for the first time, I am really hearing from God in more than a quiet-time revelation way.
Yes, that’s right all my Hokie friends, I may now be the kind of person I once made fun of and rebuked for their ridiculous beliefs. I might actually think there is something to this whole prophecy, speaking-in-tongues, unexplainable stuff and I may or may not be taking part in it.
Not the tongues thing.
Yet.
