Kingdom Journey. This kingdom journey. My kingdom journey. Days and nights I have pondered what that truly means to me. In 80 days I will embark on a journey that I pray impacts every single person I come in contact with. Just to love on the orphans who have never been hugged before, feed the hungry and those just appreciative to eat. To read and teach the words of my Father. It's becoming surreal. But theres more…
I can't help but recognize that my kingdom journey Has already began here. We are called to spread our gift of salvation to every person we come in contact with. EVERYDAY! where we are. To love others just as HE loved us. God's love is unconditional. The world would be a different place if we would not be so selfish in our own minds at our identification of love. God's love is very different than human love. It is unconditional and it's not based on feelings or emotions. To often we let our own feelings get in the way of what truly loving others is about.

1Peter 1:22 says, Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart…

As I was heading into work last night in downtown Nashville, when I pulled up to a light, beside my car walking up and down the stretch of road was a lady. She was selling newspapers to make money. Individuals take turns daily to stand on corners and sell the paper. Being the first car at the light, and knowing it would be turning green soon, but feeling like the light was taking forever, I quickly prayed if I could hand her money. She had already passed my car, and I knew I had to act fast. I felt led to help her so I honked my horn, held out my hand, and handed her the few dollars I had on me. Not moments later the car behind me then too held his hand out, and then the car behind him held his hand out. Regardless if it was coincidence or not I was immediately reminded that our love is contagious. It spreads like gangrene. If we all would take the extra step, and reach out our hand, not just with money, but love, I think we could all start an epidemic. I'm aware of all the sorrow in the world, but I believe in that ounce of hope and love that could change the lives of others.

If the power of love, overcame the love of power, the world would know peace. 🙂

John 15:9-17 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.  If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.
