Fear in itself is crippling. It can actually suck the very life out of you. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of what might have been, fear of the immediate situation that your in. FEAR is a scary word!!!
When I was driving home the other night, there were gusts of wind of 40mph. It was blowing me all over the road. On top of that, It started to rain, heavily, and a month prior to this I already hydroplaned almost hitting a wall on the interstate. I prayed the whole way home.  As I was driving and praying, I thought of how scary the situation was, and how afraid I felt. It also brought me back to the very situation I am in now. Afraid of the unknown. A month ago I fractured my arm. I had to have surgery, and a titanium plate and seven screws were placed in my arm… I go back to the Dr. this morning to see how it is healing, and I find out if and when I can return to work… there again, the unknown.. Fear sticks to you like glue, if you let it. If I think what I fear at this moment it would be:
Fear of :
            Failure
            Not meeting the deadline
            Bills being paid in time
            The money for the WR
            The unknown
            Tomorrow
What the dr. will say today!

Today we see new horrors on television. We sit in astonishment of the scenes of violence and rage etch themselves into our minds and our history. The catastrophies in weather. The foolishness of our politicians and leaders. People are afraid to take their own children to school, in fear they may not be able to pick them up. Crime is out of control. Old women and men wake everyday in fear this will be their last day alive. The list of fears goes on and on and on.
Fear stalks every one of us at different parts in our lives. Many men in the bible were in fear. Jonah feared doing the will of God. Peter, after he had walked on the water became afraid, David feared King Saul and one time he actually joined forces wth the enemies of Israel who were about to wage war with Israel… there are so many more stories.
It is no surprise that SATAN puts lies and fears in our hearts to cripple us from doing Gods will, or recieving His blessing. Suddenly we doubt God. Satan knows that when we fear we are not walking in faith. It honestly comes down to faith! Do we trust God to lead us through? To get us through…. ALL THINGS?

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and of good courage, do not fear not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Psalm 27:1 – The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

Many places in the bible tell us to FEAR NOt. There are 365 verses in the bible about Fear. Wow. Is God trying to tell us something everyday??? Be Strong in the Lord, Never give up hope, your gonna do great things, I already know. Gods got his Hand on YOU, so don't live life in fear. Forgive and forget, but forget why your here. Take the time and Pray!!!!!! Thank God for each day!!!

A Life lived in Fear is a life half lived – Spanish Proverb

Put your trust in the Lord. Do not worry about tomorrow!!! Just get through this one day! For this day is not even promised. 🙂

Peace and Love,
Sarah
