This is that extremely vulnerable blog that all bloggers question if they should post or not. But I think it’s important for everyone to know that it’s not all glitz and glitter out here in community-missional life.
As I said in my previous blog, my team and I were truly blessed this month in our accommodations. With luxury of a hotel and being so close to the beach, we deemed this “princess month.” And although The Lord blessed us with air con, beds, wifi, and a beach, that didn’t make the frustrations of our ministry or our team any better.
Something I learned this month was that luxury doesn’t make things better, it just makes for distraction. The Lord taught me this month that materialism is nothing, community and communication are everything. This was a very challenging month for me team-wise. We’re extremely functional, we get things done very well, but we have struggled relating to and understanding one another. Different personalities and the like. We are working on it though, individually and as a whole.
The Lord has us all where He put us for a reason. He is teaching us and showing us His reasons in His timing. He has great things for us. Whatever this new season in Europe may be, I think I am ready. As long as I remember His timing is not my own and continue to poor my all out there, I am being obedient to His plans for me. And I can honestly say I’m excited for whatever He has next!!
