Hey everyone!

So at the end of Nepal we had squad debrief, where we worshipped together and processed the last three months with our squad mentors.  We also had team changes!  I will miss my old team but I know that God has a new challenge for me in my new team.  My new team consists of 5 other girls and myself, two of the girls being from my old team.  I’m excited to continue growing with them and renew my relationships with them.  God has been teaching me that He has placed a spirit of encouragement in me that He is now growing in me even more with this new team.

My team’s name is Genuine Overflow….named so because we want to operate out of the overflow of Jesus in us, and not operate out of our own desires.  It’s based out of Romans 15:13.  Please pray for all of the new team changes…that we will grow and love together in all that we learned in the first 4 months.

My team is in Chiang Mai, Thailand this month!  Another all girls team of 6, Team Lovewell (one word), is here as well.  This month is a little hard to explain because of the many ministry opportunities under this one organization.  The organization is called Lighthouse in Action. We are working with the Zion Cafe and Love Acts ministries.

One of the ministries my team will be partaking in is bar ministry.  We will be going into bars and building relationships with women who have been trapped in sex trafficking, showing them the love of Jesus and giving them the resources to make a better life for themselves.  We will also be visiting monks at Buddhist temples and chatting with them.  There is also slum ministry where we will be going into the slums to love on the children and teach their parents of their value and identity.  On some nights half of us will be staying back and doing intercession for those at bar ministry by prayer walking during the day and praying while others are at the bars at night with the girls. We will also be working in a cafe that is a part of the ministry that helps give the girls a job, and we will be loving on them and helping out however we can.

I hope to blog once a week about how ministry and life are going for me personally, and what the Lord is teaching me.  Right now, please be praying for guidance in how to go about the ministry that is so unique to me. And please pray for love for these women, and for the men who traffick these girls.

Thank you for your continued support, friends!
