Sooo……we are leaving in less than 2 hours for the airport! Our flight is at 6:10pm and I’ve heard different things but generally I’ve heard it’s going to be a 15 hour plane ride. My team and I (go Lion Seekers!) will be joined by 5 of the 6 other teams on our squad in our ministry this month. We will be going to Cape Town, South Africa, working with Bradley Barnes and Kingdom Sports Ministry. I am so excited to begin this journey! I haven’t really gotten into sports while at college so it will be awesome to have the kids and teens (?) pushing me back into it.
While here at Launch, God has already begun to speak to me so much! I have had a lot of self-confidence issues from my past that I have begun to work on. He has been screaming at me, “YOU ARE A BELOVED DAUGHTER OF THE KING!” He is working me hard on my identity solely in Him and not in the concern of others. It only matters what He thinks of me, and I only need His approval and love for my actions and behavior!
And this is the same for you, my readers! Be yourself! You are beloved of the One True King! He loved you first, before anyone else. Don’t worry over how others think you look, because He knows your beauty! Don’t worry if others like your personality or not, because he is joyful over it! He loves you in your lows, in your highs, and in all of your in betweens. He is right beside you, He is never going to leave you, and He wants to see you be all that you can be! Become all that you can become!
I leave you with these prayers and cries to Jesus:
Let Your love ravish my heart, oh God! Pull me a little closer, take me a little deeper, I want to know Your heart!
Roar Your love over me! Because my God is a lion who CANNOT be tamed!
I will wait on You! As long as You need me to; And strength will rise up in Me!
I want to drown in the river of Your love Jesus! I am becoming new in You!
