Dear Wonderful Person taking the time to read my letter,
When is it the right time to give up all you have to do something you really believe in? My time is now. I’m going to travel to 11 different countries over 11 months. Its called THE WORLD RACE. It is a christian organization that sends young adults to work, serve, witness, heal, learn and grow in Christ! Specifically, we will split up into groups of 6 and travel to the following countries: Zimbabwe/Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland, India, Philippines, China, Ukraine, Moldova, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica/ Panama. I cannot believe I am even writing this letter; I have to pinch myself. I am going to abandon my worldly possessions and luxuries to go live with, serve and give hope to those that have very little. Yet I know I will learn more from them than I could ever imagine. My heart yearns to spread the love and hope that is consuming my life because of how God has changed me this past year. I want to be the hands and feet of those of you that would love to make a change like this.
The experience and lessons I will learn from this trip will be immeasurable, and so rest assured that, yes, you will be supporting a life changing experience for me but more importantly for the many that God will allow me to serve. One of the biggest lessons I have already learned in choosing to follow God on this race is that we are all in this together.
Here is where you come in. With this vote of confidence I write to ask for your prayers, encouragement and financial support. If God is tugging at your heart after reading this letter, please do not hesitate to donate today. There are financial deadlines I have to meet. Enjoy :)! My financial deadlines are: July 1st – $3,500, August 18th – $6,500 and before leaving in September, God willing be fully-funded at $15,000.
